On Wednesday, September 25th the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) hosted its latest Healthy People 2030 webinar, Healthy People 2030: Empowering Diabetes Prevention, Treatment, and Management.
During this one-hour event, ODPHP presented on the webinar’s three featured objectives related to diabetes prevention and management and the role of health literacy in patient-provider communication. The webinar also featured a presentation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Health Statistics on the latest data for the three featured objectives, and a joint presentation by the American Diabetes Association and the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists sharing details on their efforts to empower diabetes specialists and people with diabetes to improve health and well-being.
