In this Cochrane systematic review, the Cochrane Collaborative found that there’s not enough high-quality evidence to determine whether baclofen improves symptoms in people with alcohol withdrawal syndrome. The studies included in the review compared baclofen with placebo or another medicine. Researchers concluded that well‐designed double-blind randomized controlled trials with large numbers of participants are needed to test the effectiveness of baclofen.
