The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends multicomponent interventions to increase screening for breast cancer. CPSTF found that these interventions are most effective when they combine strategies to increase:

  • Community demand for cancer screening
  • Access to cancer screening
  • Provider delivery of services

CPSTF found that these interventions can increase screening in underserved populations. If access to appropriate follow-up care and treatment are provided, they may improve health for these groups.
