In this Cochrane systemic review, the Cochrane Collaborative found that exercise has the potential to prevent osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. The review included studies that compared women who exercised to those who didn’t. Researchers found a slightly significant reduction in bone loss due to exercise. They found no effect on preventing fractures.
