The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends that health care providers screen all women of reproductive age for intimate partner violence (IPV). USPSTF recommends that clinicians provide access to support services for women who screen positive for IPV. USPSTF found insufficient evidence to assess whether the harms of screening for abuse and neglect outweigh the benefits for older or vulnerable adults.
