The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends ignition interlocks for people who have been convicted of drunk driving. Ignition interlocks are devices that can prevent a driver from using a vehicle if they have a blood alcohol concentration above a certain level. CPSTF found that when people who had been convicted of drunk driving had ignition interlocks in their vehicles, they were less likely to be arrested again.
