In this Cochrane systemic review, the Cochrane Collaborative found that telehealth services — health care at a distance — can reduce hospital visits for people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The review included studies that compared telehealth services with usual in-person care. The reduction in hospital visits can lower health care expenses for people with COPD.
