The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends the Gardasil 9 vaccine as one of 3 vaccines to be used to prevent HPV (human papillomavirus). ACIP recommends HPV vaccination for groups including:
- Children ages 11 or 12 years
- Females ages 13 to 26 years and males ages 13 to 21 years who haven’t been vaccinated before
- Other high-risk populations who haven’t been vaccinated
