Summary
There’s a strong connection between education and health—for example, higher levels of education are linked to a lower risk of death later in life. But many high school students don’t graduate, and graduation rates are lower in some racial/ethnic groups. Programs including vocational training, alternative schools, social-emotional skills training, and counseling can help more students graduate from high school.
