About the National Data
Data
Baseline: 5.30 micrograms per gram (µg/g) was the concentration level of bisphenol A (creatinine corrected) in urine samples at which 95 percent of the population aged 3 years and over was at or below in 2015-16
Target: 0.72 µg/g
Methodology
Methodology notes
Urinary levels of bisphenol A include both conjugated and unconjugated forms and reflect recent exposure to the chemical.

History
In 2021, the original baseline value was revised from 5.09 ug/g to 5.30 ug/g because of a change in the baseline years and the age range of individuals included in the measurement. The same target-setting method (projection) was used but the prediction interval (PI) used to set the target was changed from the 50% PI to the 67% PI. The baseline and numerator text was also updated to reflect that these measurements include individuals 3 years and over.
