Increase the proportion of adults with symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea who seek medical evaluation
Summary
Many people in the United States have obstructive sleep apnea, which increases the risk of heart, brain, and metabolic problems. Untreated sleep apnea can also cause people to be very tired and fall asleep when they shouldn’t, like while driving. Efforts to raise awareness about sleep apnea can help people recognize symptoms, see a health care provider, and get the treatment they need.
